AMERICANA DECOR® CHALKY FINISH™ PAINT

Quickly and easily refurbish flea market finds with Americana Decor® Chalky Finish™ paint. This ultra-matte chalk paint requires no priming or sanding before using. No special skills are required to achieve looks from shabby chic to bohemian modern. Customize with waxes or varnishes to finish and protect the paint surface.

Chalky Finish comes in 43 intermixable colors in just the right size — 4 oz, 8 oz, and 16 oz. An 8 ounce jar covers approximately 60 square feet on sealed surfaces.

How to Use Chalky Finish Paint

Shake or stir well. Clean object thoroughly. No sanding or priming necessary. Apply using a soft brush or roller. Allow to dry between coats. Distress if desired. Natural tannins or existing stained finishes may bleed through paint; test on hidden area to ensure stain blocker is not required. For added protection and sheen, seal with Americana Decor Crème Waxes or Americana Decor Varnishes.

Tips for Chalky Finish Paint

Give a distressed look to projects by using water, sandpaper, or resists.

Layer multiple colors of paint for a vintage look.

Dampen your brush before painting to minimize brush strokes.

Mix paint colors to create your own custom hue.
